MEET THE TEAM

Tulane University BME Program: David Eason, Ava Heller, Bradley Sweeney, Olivia Zelony

David Eason is a senior at Tulane University within the Biomedical Engineering Department.  He is originally from San Diego, CA.  In his free time he enjoys spending time in nature and with his dog.  He is proficient in Fusion360, MATLAB, and Solidworks.  David has a passion for working with Veterans which inspired his work on the project for team Pintensity.  His future plans include clinical engineering and biomedical consulting work.

Ava Heller is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She is from Los Angeles, CA and focuses on manufacturing and design. Her extracurriculars include: president of School of Science and Engineering Student Government, treasurer of Phi Mu, and health professions intern at the New Orleans Veterans Affairs Hospital. Ava has been working at the Veterans Affairs Hospital for the past nine months, and actually saw the need for the Pintensity design in the patients there. She will be pursuing a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and then hopes to continue onto medical school to pursue a career as a rural physician.

Bradley Sweeney is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He is from San Diego, CA and focuses on CAD design and development for Pintensity. Bradley currently works in Dr. Mondrinos' TEMPS lab at Tulane, focusing on developing organ on a chip models for physiological processes. Bradley hopes to attend medical school and study orthopedics.

Olivia Zelony is a senior at Tulane studying Biomedical Engineering. She is originally from the Bay Area, CA. Her extracurriculars include: president of Women in Science, treasurer of Engineers Without Borders, research assistant at University Medical Center, Resident Advisor, and Classroom Experience Assistant for Tulane IT. She is proficient in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Abaqus, and Civil 3D. Olivia was originally interested in Pintensity's venture into the world of prostheses given her own experience with knee implants. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career as an Intellectual Property attorney.
